Ocenění bylo uděleno za výzkum vakcíny proti Lymeské bolerióze. Pro toto onemocnění v současné době není nalezena spolehlivá léčba a jediný léčebný postup spočívá v rychlém nasazení antibiotik v počátku onemocnění. Unikátnost vakcíny je dána tím, že působí na širokou škálu borelií, které jsou hlavními původci onemocnění.
An awarded project cope with vaccination for Lyme disease. Currently, the disease can be treated only by rapid application of antibiotics in the early stages. However, a great number of patients is not cured in time and many have life-long health consequences. The uniqueness of the vaccine is given by the fact that it operates on a wide variety of Borrelia, which are the main agents of the disease.
Laserové centrum v Dolních Břežanech získalo ocenění v rámci 23. ročníku soutěže Stavba roku. Organizátorem soutěže je Nadace pro rozvoj architektury a stavitelství. Letos bylo přihlášených rekordních 72 staveb a porota vybrala 15 z celkového počtu 30 postupujících.
The HiLASE laser centre situated in the village of Dolni Brezany was awarded in the 23rd edition of the Building of the Year Awards. The organizer of this prestigious competition is the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction. This year a record number of 72 buildings were registered.
Na slavnostním večeru v nové budově Národního muzea v Praze byly dne 22. října 2015 předány prestižní ceny Technologické agentury ČR za aplikovaný výzkum. Mezi čtyřmi oceněnými byly vybrány dva projekty s účastí týmů z Fyzikálního ústavu AV ČR.
The prestigious prizes of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic for the best projects accomplished in applied research in 2015 were awarded at the official ceremony in the new building of the National Museum in Prague on October 22nd, 2015. Among four award-winning projects, there were two projects that included teams from the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS).
Už po šestnácté ocenila společnost Česká hlava výjimečné české vědce. Mezi oceněnými je i RNDr. Vít Saidl, člen týmu Laboratoře opto-spintroniky, společného pracoviště Matematicko-fyzikální fakulty UK a Fyzikálního ústavu AV ČR.
Za přínos světové vědě byl oceněn prof. Petr Hořava, Ph.D. Kromě této hlavní „seniorské“ kategorie zvítězila v kategorii „Neuron Impuls“ pro mladé vědce v oboru Fyzika Mgr. Anna Fučíková, Ph.D.
