Detectors of ionizing radiation in the environment (ENVIDET)

Abstract

The aim aim is to develop new scintillation single crystal of the yttrium multialuminate YAP/GYAP modified by the rare earths. The output will be high quality crystal of minimum diameter 30 mm. Using it we will realize the detection units for new products - detection systems for monitoring ionizing radiation in the environment. The aim is to realize detection units consisting of single crystal head, intelligent electronics and evaluation software including also the precise optomechnical parts. The project plan includes development of the crystal growth, sample manufacturing, detector production and electronics, software and optomechanical parts development. The project outputs are functional samples tested in application conditions, crystal growth technology, detector prototype and patent.
