Rare-earth doped oxyfluoride nanostructures

Abstract

The aim of the project is to develop novel hybrid technologies to fabricate oxyfluoride nanostructures and to integrate them into waveguides. We intend to use a combination of the most appropriate techniques for each particular technological process as well as a detailed optical characterization of both films and waveguide as necessary feedback for the production process and to determine their potential for device development respectively.
