National centre of competence for Materials, Advanced Technologies, Coatings and their Applications (NCK MATCA)

The aim of the project is to increase the excellence of scientific workplaces and their effective interconnection with the main motivation to accelerate the development and industrial expansion of plasma, laser and additive technologies for the preparation, Treatment and gasification of industrially usable materials. Although individual technologies have recently experienced a number of successes in industrial deployment, their potential is far from being exploited. Given the breadth of this potential and the future impact on the changing economy, mastering, developing and interconnecting these technologies is a task of strategic importance. The sub-projects addressed within the Centre will address problems across the entire product lifecycle from production, through restoration and disposal, all with an emphasis on environmental friendliness, mineral exploitation, sensory and control of water, air, food and the generation and processing of energy-reusable gases.
