Fe-Pd-X shape memory alloys (SMAs) with the Pd content about 30 at % belong to the group of ferromagnetic SMAs with the potential of large magnetically induced strains due to re-orientation of martensitic variants. The addition of third element has a strong influence on the shift of the transformation temperatures and other thermo-mechanical and magnetic properties.
