Multienergy anomalous diffuse scattering

Text

The method of multienergy anomalous diffuse scattering (MADS) developed in the Institute of Physics combines the advantages of holography and diffraction improving essentially the quality of the images of local atomic structures. In contrast to holography, MADS makes possible imaging of light atoms and provides more structural information.. The method of MADS was applied to the study of the local arrangements of atoms in relaxor ferroelectrics Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3, PbMg1/3Nb2/3O, PbMg1/3Ta2/3O3 and to the study of local structural changes in materials during phase transitions.
