My primary research interests are high temporal resolution astrophysics, time-domain sky surveys, astronomical data processing pipelines and transient detection algorithms. I am currently working on the development of automated data analysis pipelines for various time domain sky surveys, and plan to participate in LSST pipeline preparation.

As the precise measurements of faint object fluxes require a thorough understanding of detectors used, I am also interested in the characterization of astronomical detectors of various types, from normal and electron-multiplying CCDs to CMOSes and various photon-counting instruments, and my current activities include the establishment of astronomical detector characterization laboratory at Institute of Physics, CAS.
