Anotace
This project consists of an experimental and theoretical program of a multidisciplinary basic research in spintronics combining materials science, nano-technology, nano-electronics, opto-electronics, and condensed matter physics fields spanning from magnetism to interactions of matter with light. In the proposed Center we will pursue a vision for spintronics based on relativistic quantum mechanics. It underpins unprecedented spin related physical phenomena in condensed matter systems, new classes of magnetic and non-magnetic materials suitable for spintronics, and new concepts for spin-dependent electronic, opto-electronic, and thermo-electric nano-devices.
