We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated part time scientist focusing on measurements of magnetic structure of compensated magnetic materials by Transmission Electron Microscopy.

What you will do
- Studies of the interaction between compensated magnets, superconductors, and semiconductors
- Joining online discussions and planning focused experiments
- Performing microscopy measurements on specialised microscopes located in laboratories of different national/international collaborators
What we expect
- Ph.D. degree in physics, material science, or related fields
- Long-term experience with high-resolution scanning transmission microscopy
- Experience with TEM techniques for imaging of magnetism (4D STEM, DPC)
- Flexibility for travel between Prague and Brno for measurements/meetings
- Drive to develop and push TEM techniques beyond the current state of the art
- Ability to comprehend and perform TEM-related experiments covering a wide range of topics within modern condensed matter Physics
- Ability to communicate and present results through talks and oral presentations
- Open-mindedness and teamwork
- Fluent English - spoken and written
