Horizon Europe (9th Framework Programme)
The Commission’s proposed budget for the 9th Framework Programme Horizon Europe is
100 billion EUR; 3,3% is foreseen to be allocated to Widening Participation and Strengthening
the European Research Area.
Structure of Horizon Europe
The goal of the 9th Framework Programme is to
- Strengthen the EU's scientific and technological bases and the European Research
- Area (ERA)
- Boost Europe's innovation capacity, competitiveness and jobs
- Deliver on citizens' priorities and sustain our socio-economic model and values
- European Commission has identified 5 mission areas spanning across the research fields in which they anticipate major impact on science, technology and society. These missions are:
- Adaptation to climate change including societal transformation
- Cancer
- Climate-neutral and smart cities
- Healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters
- Soil health and food
FZU welcomes applications from excellent researchers seeking to apply for the grants of
European Research Council (ERC) and for the Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual
fellowships (MSCA IF).
