The micro-pulling-down method is a unique technology for crystal growth from the melt and allows to prepare oxide single crystals with a diameter of a few millimeters (3-5 mm) and a length of several centimeters in a very short time (in the order of hours to tens of hours). It has a significantly reduced consumption of starting materials and energy, so it is suitable for material screening, studying the properties and optimizing the composition of a particular material system. In the current configuration, materials with melting points up to 2100 ° C can be prepared.
