Synthesis of high-entropy alloy nanoparticles by pulsed laser ablation in liquids: up-scalability and mono-dispersity control by beam shaping

Abstract

The project proposes a comprehensive study on the generation of novel nanoscale materials, high-entropy alloy nanoparticles, by laser ablation in liquids. The mechanisms of nanoparticle formation under picosecond laser ablation of multicomponent materials in liquids will be revealed and efficient control over the nanoparticle size, yield and composition is expected to be found using laser pulse shaping in space and time. The possibilities of scaling-up the found regimes to increase the synthesis efficiency will be investigated.
