Abstract
The project explores new frontiers in light and optics to create breakthrough science in biology, chemistry and physics. We will establish an Interdisciplinary Centre of Excellence at ELI-BL for studies on structure, function and dynamics in cells and biomolecules by exploiting ultra-bright light pulses (THz to X-rays) at ELI-BL and at various free-electron lasers. We will develop new methods and technologies to enable measurements and answer key biologically and medically related questions.
