Novel silicon anode materials for advanced Li-ion batteries (SILION)

Abstract

The aim of the project is industrial research and experimental development of new high-capacity nanosilicon anodes for Li-ion batteries with liquid and solid electrolytes for applications in the automotive industry and stationary electrical energy storage. The project will focus on: (i) R&D of technologies for the preparation of functional high-capacity anode materials with more than 20% Si content, (ii) R&D and characterization of these materials in Li-ion batteries, (iii) R&D of methods for optimizing stability-related parameters of the produced structures. The project's outcomes will significantly contribute to the development of battery production in the EU and to the promotion of collaboration between industry and research institutions.
