Improving drug properties using advanced multi-component forms of active substances

Abstract

The aim of the project is to prepare new crystalline and amorphous solid forms of pharmaceutical substances with improved physicochemical properties and bioavailability. Specifically, in the period 04/2019 - 03/2021, we will work on the preparation of three innovative types of multi-component solid forms: ionic cocrystals, coamorphs and ionic coamorphs in selected antitumor substances. The discovered forms of the pharmaceuticals will then be characterized by physico-chemical methods with an emphasis on the study of dissolution properties and their potential for use in the final drug formulation. The results of the research will be published in the form of utility models and scientific publications.
