Growth and Radiation Mechanisms in Diamond Hybrid Detectors (GRaDe)

Abstract

In this proposal, a breakthrough solution is proposed based on the implementation of metal electrodes epitaxially overgrown with CVD diamond integrated into a small electronic device capable of electrical response to different irradiation types. The bilateral project labeled as “GRADE” focuses on understanding phenomena in epitaxial growth of CVD diamond employing different technological strategies and experimental investigations of treatment methods on the electronic performance of diamond detectors to UV or gamma radiations, neutrons or electrons.
