Epitaxial effects in ferrolectric nanofilms probed by spectroscopic ellipsometry


The project deals with experimental studies of electronic transitions in perovskite-type epitaxial ferroelectric nanofilms. Through combining ellipsometric studies, macroscopic examination of the ferroelectric polarization, and materials characterization, we intend to explore connections between optical behavior, strain, and polarization. The expected results of the work will contribute to fundamental understanding of perovskite-type ferroelectrics and nanoscale phenomena therein.
