NCC Centre of electron and photon optics 2 (NCK CEPO 2)

Abstract

NCC CEPO focuses on development of breakthrough technology for generation, propagation, and applications of photon and electron beams. Institute of Physics participates in development of high-tech pulsed radiation sources for industrial use, development of optical diagnostics techniques and fast optical micromachining. Unlike well-developed light sources emitting in spectral range of 1um, this project is oriented towards rapidly development in the field of UV and mid-infrared radiation. Light source development will be solved jointly with their applications in research of high damage threshold optics, LIDT metrology, and progress in construction of fast UV material processing stations or multibeam micromachining, which is perspective in micromachining of semiconductors or dielectric materials suitable for manufacturing of future 6G communication networks components. Integral part of the plans is adoption of state-of-the-art materials like eg. carbon composites, bionic design, etc., which consequences in reduction of weight and energy savings. Such new approach has potential also in space applications
