Single molecule interaction analysis

Text

We aim to deliver a life-science tool that will enable to study processes essential for biological systems at single molecular level and under conditions that mimic an in vivo state as closely as possible. Our approach is based on the label-free real-time imaging of individual biomolecules enabled by the Nanofluidic Scattering Microscopy (NSM). We develop an experimental platform comprised of nanofluidic elements controlling a reactor of ultra-low volume in which individual biomolecules can be imaged and analysed. We explore and employ both passive principles based on electrostatic and entropic trapping, as well as active approaches involving active optical nanomaterials.
