Systems for acoustic emission characterization of mechanical properties and stability of thin film structures and functional surfaces

Abstract

Advanced technology implementation of new systems for evaluating cohesion - adhesion properties and mechanical parameters of thin film functional structures and surfaces, systems for the characterization of selected technological processes of special surface machining and modification of materials. The systems are based on the generation of acoustic emission (AE ) during scratch - tests , laser excitation of surface acoustic waves and also by different types of current advanced technology of laser modification of materials, preparation of special optical surface of roughness in the nm region, etc. Creating and using a comprehensive set of appropriate measuring and evaluation techniques for acoustic emission with previously unrealized parameters.
