In the last couple of years electron crystallography has very quickly developed into a broadly accepted method for the solution of crystal structures of nano- and microcrystalline materials. Despite of this quick development, many unsolved problems remain in the method, which strongly limit its applicability and its true potential. These limitations are especially palpable in the analysis of molecular crystals, which pose a special challenge for electron crystallography due to their limited stability in electron beam and due to their often imperfect crystallinity. The proposed project aims at the development of methods removing the limitations of electron crystallography on molecular crystals and apply the improved technique to the solution of actual problems in the analysis of several classes of molecular crystals.
