The 55th edition of the Journées des Actinides (JdA) will be held on 14–17 April 2026 in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic. The conference is being organized by Dr. Evgenia Chitrova (Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, FZU) together with Dr. Ladislav Havela (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, MFF).
JdA is a long-standing international meeting that provides a unique, informal, and interdisciplinary forum for researchers working on f-electron materials. Over more than five decades, it brings together physicists, chemists, and materials scientists to discuss new discoveries, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in a friendly atmosphere.
The 2026 program will span topics from fundamental to applied research, including:
- Correlated 4f/5f systems: superconductivity, magnetism, quantum criticality, emergent order
- Chemistry of f-elements: inorganic, organometallic, coordination, separations
- Materials, thin films, nanostructures, and interfaces
- Crystal and electronic structures, spectroscopy, theory
- Nuclear fuel cycle, safeguards, and security
- Radiation effects, protection, and medical applications
- Environment, remediation, and decommissioning
Pre-registration: Because accommodation is included in the conference fee, we ask participants to pre-register to help us secure rooms. Pre-registration is open at: https://www.jda2026.eu/
