Study of syntheses and properties of laser NIR-absorbers based on organic complexes of nickel

Text

The preparation of NIR-absorbers for laser applications based on organometallic complexes of nickel is motivated by the specific transient properties of these materials in the passage of a laser beam of a fixed wavenumber 1315 nm at the basic and increased power level of the emitting source.

Since these substances, which are responsible for the correct laser operation, are unstable, the aim of our study is to identify and eliminate possible photonic and chemical factors that may affect their instability. Part of the study is the analysis of the decay products and the evaluation of the possible influence of solvents while maintaining the solubility of the absorbers. The project is realised in cooperation with the PALS Research Center.
