Tensile deformation of medical grade NiTi wire was investigated by thermomechanical testing in a wide temperature range from −100 °C to 450 °C with supplemental in-situ evaluation of electrical resistance, synchrotron x-ray diffraction, digital image correlation and ex-situ TEM observations of lattice defects in deformed NiTi wires.
