The Meeting hosted 70 participants from 17 countries inlcuding the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States of America.

Tutorials on different aspects of synthesis and characterization of electroceramics were given by Prof. C. Galassi (CNR-ISTEC, Italy), Prof. B. Malic (Jožef Stefan Institute, Slovenia), Prof. P. Marchet (University of Limoges, France), and Prof. L. Pardo (ICMM-CSIC, Spain) in the frame of the Winter School, attended by 14 students and researchers.

The Meeting comprised of 27 talks and 19 poster presentations from academia and industry and covered a broad spectrum of topics ranging from technology, fundamentals, device design, modeling, advanced characterization, to end-user products. Prof. J. Rödel (Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany), Prof. P. Muralt (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland), Prof. G. Rijnders (University of Twente, the Netherlands) and Dr. J. F. Saillant (Intercontrôle, France) gave invited talks on cutting edge issues of piezoelectric ceramics, thin films, and end-user applications.
