Engineering the Thermal and Energy-Storage Properties in Quantum Dots Using Dominant Faceting: The Case Study of Silicon

V plazmaticky syntetizovaných křemíkových kvantových tečkách lze, v rozporu s tradičními představami, ladit prostorově převažující, tedy dominantní, orientaci povrchových facet bez nutnosti přesné makroskopické kontroly jejich tvarů. Výsledná dominantní facetáž takovýchto kvantových teček ve tvaru nepravidelných mnohostěnů potom určuje reaktivitu jejich povrchu a termální vlastnosti i bez zjevně detekovaných změn v tvarech.
