Abstract
The project focuses on developing new methods and devices for the visualization of latent fingerprints. The goal is to enable efficient detection of fingerprints even on complex surfaces using colored cyanoacrylate and low-pressure deposition techniques. A key innovation is the use of non-thermal plasma, which allows application in conditions where conventional methods are ineffective. In collaboration with the Institute of Criminalistics of the Police of the Czech Republic, the new procedures will be tested in practice and three new methodologies will be certified. The project will contribute to increasing the success rate of suspect identification and will strengthen cooperation between research institutions, the Czech police, and international partners.
