Growth of nanocrystalline diamond on carbon nanotubes as novel heterosystems of unique properties (FZU-DNT)

Abstract

The main goal of the project is the preparation of a new composite material that combines the unique properties of two allotropic forms of carbon. Specifically, it is carbon nanotubes or “buckypaper”, which is provided by Danubia NanoTech company and deposition of nanocrystalline diamond, which is provided by the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. At the same time, the boundaries of knowledge will be shifted due to the availability of complementary analytical techniques available at individual workplaces.
