Head of the Joint Laboratory of Optics of Palacký University and Institute of Physics AS CR. In my professional work, I deal mainly with the problems from the areas of detection of light at the level of single photons, quantum and nonlinear optics, quantum statistics of nonlinear optical processes and laser physics. I am also active pedagogically at the Palacký University in Olomouc where I am also the guarantor of the Bachelor study program Applied physics.
