Abstract
The aim of the project is to prepare a novel group of the Ce and Pr-doped Sc-admixed multicomponent garnet scintillators by three different technologies and to study the effect of Sc-Ga-Al ratios, aliovalent codoping and host nonstochiometry on their luminescence and scintillation characteristics. Such novel scintillation materials will have a strong potential to outperform the currently existing garnet scintillators and provide new technological possibilities for mass production.
