The objective of the Energy Storage project is to provide a comprehensive design of the original system for storage, processing and further use of thermal energy from existing power and heating plants. The thermal energy will be stored in materials with suitable properties within the applied thermal cycles. It will be a unique project from material-physical research to engineering design for storage, transport and heat release. To store energy, we will use mixtures of molten salts whose optimal composition will need to be optimized in the first phase. In subsequent phases, we will create measurement and control systems and special structures to enable storage and controlled release of heat. Finally, we will design and test the final solution for practical use.
