Laboratory activity

The long-term aim of the Laboratory of Raman Spectroscopy is to characterize the structure and quality of materials used in optoelectronics and photovoltaics. Its activities are focused on the study of silicon nanostructures' and nanocrystalline thin films' properties. We also investigate the properties of hybrid organo-metalic perovskites, which, thanks to their properties and simple preparation process, attract the attention of many scientists and companies. Furthermore, in cooperation with other groups within the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the laboratory instruments are used for research of nanocrystalline diamonds or graphene. A combination of Raman microspectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy (Renishaw inVia Reflex) and atomic force microscopy (NT-MDT NTEGRA SPECTRA AFM) is available.
