The Raman microscope is equipped with a 514.5 nm argon laser (20 mW) and a 633 nm HeNe laser (5 mW) with grating filters enabling stray light rejection in the 20–3000 cm-1 range. The instrument is used mainly in back-scattering geometry and allows for polarization analysis. With Linkam cells or a He cryostat, the available temperature range stretches from 5 to 1470 K. Angular dependences of the spectra can be measured using a sample rotator.
