The FZU Photography Competition is back. As every year, we are inviting everyone who wants to capture the world through the lens of science and their own imagination. The competition is open in two categories, and the best photos will be awarded at a ceremony in autumn 2026.
Who can join
- Current and former FZU employees
All FZU staff are welcome to enter, whether on a permanent contract or working under a DPC/DPP agreement. Former employees can take part too.
- Secondary and university students
Are you studying at a secondary school or university in the Czech Republic? If you have the status of a full-time student as of 31 August 2026, you can enter as well.
Take a photo of anything you like
This year, there is no set theme, and the choice is entirely yours. A drop of water, a reflection of light, a close-up of a material. Physics is all around us; you just need to look.
How to enter
Send your photos to fotosoutez [at] fzu [dot] cz. Please include your name, the titles of your photos, your category, and a short caption (max. 400 characters including spaces). Each participant can submit up to five individual photos or two series of up to five photos each.
Photos must be at least 300 DPI, with a minimum side length of 2,500 px, and free of watermarks. The maximum file size is 12 MB per photo.
