Wednesday, May 18, 2016 - Six top Czech scientists under 40 in the fields of medicine, social sciences, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics received the Neuron Award for young scientists. The ceremony was held at the Archa Theater. For physics, this prestigious prize was awarded to Mgr. Jindřich Kolorenč, PhD from the Department of Condensed Matter Theory of the Institute of Physics of the CAS. This has been the second award for a young scientist from the Institute of Physics. Last year, the Neuron Award for Young Scientists went to Hynek Němec from the Department of Dielectrics. The price is complemented by a financial reward amounting to 250 000 CZK.
