Want to combine an enjoyable evening with supporting a worthy cause? That’s exactly what this benefit concert will offer. It will take place on October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Theater in Kolín. This evening filled with music will also help students who want to expand their knowledge, experience, and horizons.
The Karel Výborný Foundation Fund was established earlier this year in honor of theoretical physicist Karel Výborný, who tragically passed away last summer. Its goal is to support high school and college students on short-term trips abroad.
To date, the foundation’s board of directors has selected and provided financial support for ten student projects. Thanks to this support, students will travel to destinations such as Cyprus, Namibia, Cameroon, Norway, and Hungary. Students can continue to apply for support—the next round of application reviews and project selections will take place at the end of this year.
Now You Can Help, Too
An October benefit concert will offer an opportunity to support the work of the Karel Výborný Foundation Fund. The concert was organized by Lenka Výborná, and the musical program will be provided by the František Kmoch Municipal Orchestra together with the Czech Radio Children’s Choir, whose members include Karel’s daughter, Mariana. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Karel Výborný Foundation Fund.
