The Physics For Future (P4F) colloquium took place from May 11 to 13, featuring a presentation by our P4F Fellow S. Bhattacharya on the topic “Tuning cooperativity of spin-crossover complexes on 2D surfaces and detecting spin-state transitions via magneto-transport studies.”
In his presentation, he discussed the tuning of spin-crossover (SCO) phenomena on graphene surfaces through electronic transport studies. The key focus of the talk was to highlight his recent work on developing robust methods for the precise identification of delicate spin-state transitions and distinct magnetic states at the nanoscale. Furthermore, it was demonstrated how utilizing graphene as a 2D growth template not only improves the overall conductivity of the system but also significantly enhances the cooperativity within these molecular assemblies, ultimately offering a promising pathway for advanced, tunable molecular devices
Over the course of three days, the P4F colloquium provided a platform for fellows to present their current research across various fields of physics and fostered interdisciplinary discussion and the sharing of experiences.
