Another traditional "Family Day", this time pirate themed, brought fun to our employees and their families. Although the weather made it clear that summer was definitely over, it did not prevent a large turnout of our colleagues and their family members. "Our events are not just about having fun, they strengthen the relationships between our employees, their families and support our organisational culture. It is important for us to create a friendly and supportive environment," says Simona Dačeva, HR Team Manager, on behalf of the organizational team.
There was something to enjoy for everyone regardless their age, whether they were young pirates, older adventurers or adults. The youngest children succeeded in completing difficult tasks that tested their skills and courage needed to board a pirate ship. Older buccaneers made the necessary supplies for the overseas voyage, such as their own pirate hats or binoculars, and tested their knowledge in a pirate crossword puzzle. Outside, young and older pirates alike seized two bouncy castles.
The adults did not miss out either. In addition to making autumn decorations, they were thrilled by the interactive exhibits borrowed from iQLANDIE or the opportunity to try out virtual reality. A lot of attention was also drawn by a tour of the fire truck of the volunteer firefighters from Prague 8.
The preparation of the event, which this year attracted almost 200 participants, took several weeks. For the preparatory team, it also works as a form of teambuilding. "The participants’ positive feedback confirms that it makes sense to devote time and energy to these non-work activities. Moreover, we rarely go to work in pirate costumes, so we had a great time with the organizing team," adds Simona Dačeva with a smile.
