On 8 October 2026, FZU will welcome participants of the European Technical Safety Organisation Network (ETSON) Junior Staff Programme.
The visit is part of the ETSON JSP Workshop, held in Prague from 5 to 9 October and hosted by the Czech National Radiation Protection Institute (SÚRO). The programme brings together early-career engineers, researchers and experts from ETSON member organisations working in nuclear safety and radiation protection, promoting professional networking, knowledge exchange and international cooperation.
During their visit to FZU, the participants will tour the Surface Science Laboratory Station (SSLS), transferred from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) Karlsruhe to FZU following a successful tender procedure. They will learn about its research capabilities and the ongoing cooperation between the REU|Search group at FZU and JRC Karlsruhe.
