The International Conference on Martensitic Transformation (ICOMAT 2025) cover all branches of research in the field of martensitic transitions and phase-transforming materials, ranging from the latest theoretical, technological and characterization advancements to the state-of-art engineering applications, bringing together experts from all over the globe.
Thie conference, with its long and distinguished history, continues to serve as the leading global forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge and the advancement of research on martensitic transformations and their related phenomena.
Martensitic transformations have long occupied a central role in materials science and metallurgy. Their rich phenomenology—spanning crystallography, thermodynamics, and kinetics—has provided enduring challenges. The fundamental principles governing the transformation underpin a wide range of modern materials, from steels that remain the backbone of infrastructure and industry, to shape memory alloys and multifunctional materials that enable advanced applications in medicine, aerospace, robotics, and energy systems.
The conference takes place in triannual period, the previous ones were in Chicago 2017, Korea Jeju 2022 and now in Prague.
