Meals

As you have been informed in a separate e-mail, there will be a social dinner on Monday, organized and paid for by the organizers. If you would like a vegetarian main course, let us know by Friday (2. February) by sending an e-mail to .

Concerning common lunches: If you would like a vegetarian dish (always or just for some days), please let us know by Monday morning. Note that by default there will be pork for lunch on Monday and on Wednesday. Please check the informative e-mail sent to you on 27. January for details.

Public transport

There are two basic variants of the ticket: 24 CZK (valid for 30 minutes) and 32 CZK (valid for 90 minutes). The ticket has to be stamped once you enter a bus, a tram, or at the entrance to a metro station. There are also day tickets available (for 110 CZK).

There are ticket machines at metro stations and at some tram stops. Unfortunately, most of them take only coins. At the airport, there are machines at the bus stop that take cards. There are also information booths at the airport terminals and at the main train station where they sell tickets.

Have a look at the dedicated server for more information on public transport in Prague.

The tranport options from the airport are explained at a special page of the prg.aero server.

Accomodation

You should reserve accomodation yourself. When looking for accomodation at a suitable location (e.g. via the booking.com server), we suggest you to focus on localities "Praha 1", "Lesser Town (Mala Strana)", "Old Town (Stare Mesto)" or city center in general. A convenient option might be accomodation in the "Smichov" district - it offers a convenient access to the city center via public transport or via a 20-minutes-walk. The district itself is quite vibrant and as it is not in the main tourist area, it may offer a convenient power to price ratio. Specifically in the Smichov area you might like hotels "Ibis Praha Mala Strana" (Plzenska 14), "Apart Hotel Austria Suites" (Stefanikova 25), or "Arbes" (Viktora Huga 3). Nevertheless, please do not consider these suggestions as "endorsements".
